Beauty In Every Life (BIEL): Community Connection Through Culture & Digital Empowerment
At Beauty In Every Life (BIEL), we create transformative opportunities for vulnerable groups in The Hague by blending culture, connection, and digital empowerment. Supported by Den Haag Gemeente, our projects are designed to combat loneliness, build digital resilience, and foster inclusion across generations.
The Dine Together Project brings people together through the joy of food. These West African cooking workshops offer a warm, communal space where vulnerable residents—particularly the elderly—can bond over shared meals, stories, and cultural exchange.
Building on that success, EmpowerSocial: Digital Skills and Community Program empowers elderly residents from migrant communities with essential digital literacy. Over 10 months, seniors receive hands-on training, join intergenerational “Tech Buddy” pairings, and participate in online communities. This program bridges the digital divide by improving access to online healthcare, safety, communication tools, and social connection—combating isolation and promoting confidence in a digital world.
Together, these initiatives reflect our commitment to a more inclusive and connected The Hague, where every individual—regardless of age, background, or tech experience—has the tools and community to thrive.

Dine Together Project
The Dine Together Project: West African Cooking Workshop is a nine-month series held on the last or second Saturday of each month in The Hague. Designed to be inclusive and engaging, these workshops aim to reduce loneliness by connecting vulnerable individuals through the shared experience of cooking and enjoying West African cuisine. Participants collaborate in preparing traditional dishes, fostering community bonds and cultural appreciation. The project is supported by Den Haag Gemeente and implemented through the support of Ataro Foods.
Empower Social: Digital Skills Training For Migrant Adults
EmpowerSocial: Digital Skills training is a transformative initiative by Beauty In Every Life (BIEL), supported by Den Haag Gemeente, aimed at closing the digital divide among elderly residents from migrant communities in The Hague. Through digital literacy workshops, intergenerational mentoring, and online community-building, EmpowerSocial helps seniors gain the skills they need to safely navigate the digital world, access essential services, and foster meaningful social connections—reducing isolation and promoting inclusion.
